We're not exactly sure Madonna is the authority figure on romance, or, moreover, marriage. Regardless, the pop star felt is was her civic duty to pass on her pearls of marriage wisdom to Britney Spears. A source who was very close to Madonna and Brit on the "Sticky and Sweet" tour said, "Britney asked Madonna if she would ever marry again after her split from Guy. Madonna not only said she wouldn't, but told Britney to forget about marriage. She said it just doesn't work for girls like them."
What she really should have said was, "There is no point in risking having to give away the other half of your fortune when you can live blissfully together in sin." Or you can have not-so-secret trysts with hot ball players and never worry that they will want to become an old ball and chain. As hot as this sounds, we still fathom it's lonely up there at the top.
